Rubymint General Store
helps promote local Phoenix artists
Rubymint General Store is located in Phoenix, Arizona, on Roosevelt Row which is a hub for small local businesses.
Rubymint General Store was created in hopes to help promote the work of local artists and to bring new artists to light.
Owner and co/founder, Kat Proffitt, sets a precedent on handmade and locally sourced products because it not only benefits the community economically but also connects the community with local artists.
When creating a local business in such a huge metropolitan area, Proffitt felt confident that her products were unique enough to stand out against those of large and corporate businesses.
Rubymint General Store features more than 110 local artists in the store and by doing this they are able to build traction for their business but also build traction for local artists.
Featuring the art of local artists and creatives gives those coming to Roosevelt Row the chance to see something new and get a better taste for what Phoenix is really about.
The culture that lies behind the art is important to how people view Phoenix and why they keep coming back.
Rubymint General Store is able to capture the voices of local artists through their art, helping to make an impact.
